Hot Chip founder, songwriter and DJ Joe Goddard joins Tom Ravenscroft to explore the legendary record collection of his late father John Peel.

Hot Chip founder, songwriter and DJ Joe Goddard joins Tom Ravenscroft in Suffolk to lend a hand (and two ears) in making sense of the late John Peel’s vast music archive, which is comprised of more than 120,000 albums, 12 inches and seven inches, collected over a lifetime and meticulously catalogued.

In this episode, Joe demonstrates his eclectic music knowledge, digging out music from - among others - Ivor Cuttler, Hamilton Bohannon, Iannis Xenakis, Photek and the Lijano Sisters.

And he's delighted to find an original copy an album introduced to him by his dad - The Velvet Underground and Nico. Particularly as the "peel slowly and see" banana sticker, an iconic design by Andy Warhol, is still attached to the cover.

Presenter: Tom Ravenscroft
Producers: Paul Sheehan and Becca Bryers
