Heavenly harmonies鈥� with Zakia

Zakia shares otherworldly vocals, ritual sounds and heavenly harmonies from around the world. Plus, we visit the dream realms of the choral collective NYX.

DJ, broadcaster, writer and dreamer Zakia Sewell provides the soundtrack to your dreams - playing music to ease the mind, soothe the soul, and open portals to new dimensions鈥�

Set sail with Zakia once again for another voyage to magical musical realms - including a visit to the mystical world of dreamweavers NYX. A London-based collective named after the Greek goddess of the night, their music interweaves choral music, electronics and improvisation. We join them at one of their residencies on a nature reserve, where their members share their dreams through chant and song.

Elsewhere, there are plenty more heavenly harmonies, sonic rituals and otherworldly vocals from The Norman Luboff Choir, Tarta Relena and the Bulgarian State Television Female Vocal Choir. Plus, sounds from all around the world and new music from Laura Cannell, Yazz Ahmed and the duo of Confucius MC and Bastien Keb.
