The only city in the world other than Nashville with its very own Grand Ole Opry, Audrey Gillan explores why Glasgow has such an affinity with country music.

From line dancers to gunslingers to people whose homes are shrines to the Wild West – Audrey meets country fans old and new to ask why the city’s love for songs famous for featuring ’three chords and the truth’ has recently exploded.

Country is the fastest growing genre in the UK, and as new, themed venues attract younger crowds across the city – has the place gone country mad? Or has Glasgow always been country daft?
