(PPT) helps people in prison who want to turn their lives around. We teach them yoga and meditation, building the confidence and resilience needed to survive in prison and to thrive, away from crime, on their release.

Meet Sue

Meet Sue
Sue, pictured here with Jeremy, says prison was 鈥渁 blessing鈥�; a chance to change after trauma in childhood led to addiction and crime. Guided by a mentor from the PPT, using just her body and her breath, she discovered a way to find peace.

Practical help
Sue now volunteers for the PPT. We bring yoga and meditation to more than 5,000 people living or working in prisons in the UK and Ireland with classes, individual mentoring and study guides to use in cells.

Help at a low point
Nearly a quarter of people in prison spent childhoods in care and many more witnessed violence or suffered abuse as children. Learning yoga and meditation is building hope, healing and the chance to start again.
