Gielgud's Letters (Omnibus)

Actor Sir John Gielgud's life told through his letters: from 1930s New York to acting well into his 90s. Read by Derek Jacobi.

The remarkable life of the actor John Gielgud, told through his personal letters.

It begins with Gielgud playing the lead in Guthrie McClintic's 1936 production of Hamlet in New York.

It then follows his work in Hollywood, facing the threat of blackmail over his homosexuality, challenging theatre productions in London and acting well into his 90s.
