Ian Hudson is about to produce a new TV serial by famous author Brian Sweetlove.

His radio serials invariably run for years.

Once, Sweetlove and John Armitage, a highly skilled and popular broadcaster, were friends, with many interests in common.

Perhaps they shared one thing (or was it one person?) too many?

At least, that might have been one reason why the casting of a new serial should lead to tragedy.
