Crofter Keith MacDonald returns to South America, a continent he lived and worked in a decade ago. This time, he's on a journey to uncover the story of the Scots who emigrated there over a century earlier, including one of his own ancestors.

There, he uncovers the harrowing story of Alexander MacLenna, known as The Red Pig, a Scottish settler whose brutal role in the genocide of the region鈥檚 indigenous people casts a dark shadow over this chapter of Scottish emigration history.
