Naga Munchetty explores the landmark events of the 21st century via the lens of music. Part three: 2017 to 2024.
In 2025, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 3 challenged contemporary composers to tell the story of the century thus far with music. Each of the resulting "25 for 25" commissions is inspired by an event that has somehow defined the first quarter of the century.
This third and final episode charts the years 2017-2024 - from the Manchester Arena Bombing through to the wonders of the Northern Lights. This episode features the music of Rakhvinder Singh, Gerald Barry, Heloise Werner, Karl Jenkins, Cassie Kinoshi, Thea Musgrave, Oyvind Torvund and Kristina Arakelyan.
