Victoria Derbyshire speaks to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ racing commentator John Hunt and his daughter Amy for their first interview since the attack that killed Carol, Hannah and Louise Hunt—John’s wife and daughters. The murders were carried out by Louise’s ex-boyfriend, Kyle Clifford, in July 2024. Clifford arrived at the family’s Hertfordshire home under the pretext of returning Louise’s belongings. He fatally stabbed Carol, then waited for Louise to return—before killing her with a crossbow. When her sister Hannah arrived later, she was also murdered. Kyle Clifford fled the scene but was later caught by police and, in March 2025, was sentenced to three life terms. Now, a year on, John and Amy speak openly to Victoria about the happy family life they had together, the tragic events that destroyed it and the unthinkable grief they’ve had to face. John works for the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ as a racing commentator and tells Victoria how he got back to the racetrack. Amy is a journalist and she explains how they’re trying to rebuild their lives. They tell Victoria how they want Carol, Hannah and Louise to be remembered and explain how their support for each other is helping them to stand strong and face the future together.
