Newark 24
Danny visits a huge antiques fair in Nottinghamshire, where experts Izzie Balmer and Ben Cooper do their best to steer the red and blue teams to victory.
Bo Peep telling off her lost sheep, a Beefeater eating a sausage, and a lady in a soldier’s hat swaying on a donkey. These items are among a rare collection of 19th-century wooden toys that Danny Sebastian gets to see up close at Newark Showground. Toy specialist Daniel Agnew explains that 500 of these German-made figures are going under the hammer, with some pieces expected to fetch several thousand pounds!
Hoping to make big profits themselves are two teams of bargain hunters. In blue are gardening podcasters Elaine and Julia, nicknamed the Potty Plotters, and in red are married couple Loree and Andy, who plan to charm their way to a win.
With expert Ben Cooper by their side, Elaine and Julia go in search of a decorative garden bench until another piece of gardenalia catches their eye. Across the fair, Izzie Balmer helps goldsmith Loree to shop for jewellery, while Andy is determined to get a hot deal. At the auction, things get spicy when one expert triumphs with their bonus buy, but will there be any eye-watering profits?
