Leominster 28
Experts Gary Pe and Tim Weeks lead two teams of friends on a timed dash around a packed antiques centre in Leominster.
This episode is a rags-to-riches story of two teams competing to make the biggest profits at auction. While they shop for items at an antiques centre in Herefordshire, presenter Caroline Hawley finds out how thrifty Victorians turned rags into rugs to add a bit of comfort to cold cottages. Using a bodger, Caroline learns about a curious technique called progging.
Hoping not to bodge their shop are two teams of friends. In red are long-time pals, Sandee and Juney, who plan to spend as little cash as possible. Their opponents are sports fans Russ and Nik, who plan to do the opposite! With Tim Weeks by their side, the reds check out a colourful bargeware trunk, but the high price means it's far from an open-and-shut case. In search of kitchenalia, the blue team mulls over a drip-glazed pitcher and jar, but they’re destined for the backburner.
There’s tough bidding at the auction near Wrexham, with Matthew Tong calling the lots on the rostrum.
