Lopa Kothari presents the best of this year’s Førdefestival in Norway that took place in July and was themed around language and identity. The programme includes live recordings of some of her favourite performances, impromptu sessions and behind-the-scenes chats with the musicians, hailing from every corner of the planet.
The show features Norwegian traditional music, performed live by Martin Steinum Brun and a cappella group Hekate, music from Pakistan's Benju master Ustad Noor Bakhsh, songs from Ustatshakirt Ensemble from Kyrgyzstan. Plus, a wonderful sonic encounter between Norway and Iran.
