with Tony Kearney
Tony's guests this morning include the comedian Shaparak Khorsandi and the writer who was meant to be on the jet that tragically crashed over Lockerbie in 1988.
Conversation from a faith and ethical perspective. Tony's guests this morning include Shaparak Khorsandi, who has dominated the comedy circuit in the UK since the late nineties. Tony talks to her about her Iranian upbringing and how humour runs in the blood, as well as her experience of having ADHD, which forms as the basis for her current Edinburgh show.
He also talks to the creator of an autobiographical one-woman show about an 8-year-old girl who was kidnapped by her father and taken to Saudi Arabia. He also hears the remarkable story of the playwright who should have been on the Pam Am jet bound for New York with her classmates, that instead tragically crashed over Lockerbie in 1988.
His faith forum panel this week discuss the acknowledgement by the University of Edinburgh of its historical ties to slavery and its role in the creation of racist theories, and they will be reviewing the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½â€™s new documentary about a Christian cult in 1970s Northamptonshire, and can our communities pay the price of the pursuit of our well-being?
