Len Pennie live at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Lily Blumkin, Ayo Adenekan and Hannah Morton.
US comedian Lily Blumkin, known as writer and sketch player on The Daily Show, joins Leith local Ayo Adenekan and Hannah Morton, daughter of Elaine C Smith, to talk Fringe debuts.
Len Pennie is joined by three comedy writers and performers to hear about the shows they are bringing for the first time to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and how reflection on formative experiences informs their writing process as she asks Hannah Morton, Lily Blumkin and Ayo Adenekan how to debut a show at the Fringe.
Hannah Morton: Cha Cha Real Smooth uses the premise of a child's birthday party to explore greater existential questions through comedy and poignancy.
Ayo Adenekan: Black Mediocrity explores how growing up queer and black in a predominantly white city helped shape Ayo's identity through humour and reflection.
Lily Blumkin: Nice Try sees the US writer and sketch performer from The Daily Show in a one-woman show about growing up and getting worse, using nine different characters.
