Sara by Melissa Murray

4 Extra Debut. 1826: Coleridge's daughter Sara is desperate to cure her addiction that so blighted her father’s life. Stars Sophie Thompson.

In 1826, the daughter of Samuel Taylor Coleridge stopped off on a coach journey to London.

On the spur of the moment, she opted to stay on in her inn room indefinitely, leaving her husband and children to fend for themselves.

She had very good reasons for this extraordinary decision.

One being a desperate hope that she could cure herself of the opium addiction that had so blighted her father's life.
