Delius’ A Mass of Life from the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Proms

Throughout the summer we’ll be hearing from some of the best music-making at this year’s ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Proms. Today starry soloists Jennifer Davis, Claudia Huckle, David Butt Philip and Roderick Williams join the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Symphony Chorus, London Philharmonic Choir, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Symphony Orchestra and conductor Sir Mark Elder for Frederick Delius’ epic Mass of Life .

Plus we shine a light on the former and current Radio 3 New Generation Artists performing this week at the Proms. Today, pianist Benjamin Grosvenor plays Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Symphony Orchestra and conductor Marin Alsop.

And there are highlights from across the border, with summer music making from the Edinburgh International Festival. Today the Belcea Quartet play Mozart’s ‘Dissonance’ Quartet.
