Live from Tyntesfield, Somerset

Tom McKinney presents Radio 3’s Breakfast show live from in and around Tyntesfield, Somerset. With live music from the King's harpist Mared Pugh Evans and the Fitzhardinge Consort.

Tom McKinney presents Radio 3’s Breakfast show live from in and around Tyntesfield in North Somerset — the striking Victorian Gothic house built by William Gibb. We will be there to catch the sounds of the dawn chorus in the grounds, setting the scene for Bach Before 7 and live performances from the Bristol based vocal ensemble, The Fitzhardinge Consort, and from Mared Pugh Evans - official harpist to His Majesty the King.

Tom also explores the house’s remarkable art and collection in conversation with Tyntesfield’s curator, Dr Miranda Garrett — uncovering the stories behind one of the National Trust’s most fascinating properties. You can contact the show by emailing 3breakfast@bbc.co.uk
