Author and garden designer Vita Sackville-West shares with the listeners some of her simple personal pleasures in life.
The Sackville-West family used the expression 鈥榯hrough leaves鈥� as shorthand for 鈥榳alking through leaves鈥� to describe these moments. This then morphed into 鈥榯hrough leave-ness鈥� or 鈥榯hrough leavery鈥�.
Among her simple pleasures were a smooth-running drawer and the action of her new French corkscrew.
