This morning, we are diving into a subject that sparks nostalgia, nerves and plenty of funny stories. With children across the UK returning to classrooms, we want to hear all about your own first day back at school memories.

Did you step through the gates full of excitement, or were you clinging to your new pencil case with quiet dread? Sweet, silly or slightly embarrassing, these stories are part of what makes the back-to-school season so special!

Alongside your memories, we bring you The Yous Headlines, full of uplifting and entertainment stories designed to start your morning with a smile. And, of course, we continue the build-up to one of the biggest weekends of the year, Radio 2 in the Park in Chelmsford.
