Episode 7
A couple can’t sell their home until they’ve sold their collection. Quality jewellery should attract big bids, but will a new owner be found for Robin's restored chest of drawers?
Izzie and Robin visit a couple whose Yorkshire home is filled with curious collectibles, precious porcelain and antique treasures. The family have recently suffered heartbreaking bereavements and have decided it’s time to sell up, move on and start afresh. But they’re unable to sell their home until it has been emptied of their collections. Not only is the house full, but their seven sheds are too.
Graham wants to create a fitting legacy to his late father, and the part-renovated camper van he inherited from his dad could be a project worth investing in. The van's interior needs time, attention and cash spent on it. Proceeds from the auction will hopefully help him finish the restoration his dad started and get the vehicle back on the road, allowing him to take his wife Michelle away on a short break.
Auctioneer Izzie uncovers some Murano glass, a collection of valuable jewellery and a variety of antique furniture. Robin’s restoration skills are put to the test as he tries to fix an old tabletop mirror’s damaged base and calls in help to get vintage workshop tools working again and saleable. However, he takes a chance and gambles with a repair to save a Victorian chest of drawers. Will the result appeal to bidders on auction day?
