Carol Decker from T'Pau continues on her ten song journey in Tracks Of My Years.
Carol formed T鈥橮au with guitarist and fellow songwriter Ron Rogers in 1986. Originally named Talking America, the band later changed their name to T鈥橮au - after a Vulcan elder in the sci-fi series Star Trek. Success came early to the band with the single 鈥楬eart and Soul鈥� in 1987, helped by its inclusion in a jeans commercial.
Their follow up single, 鈥楥hina in Your Hand鈥�, was a huge success in the UK, spending a total of five weeks at number one on the singles charts. Debut album 'Bridge of Spies' went quadruple platinum and featured a total of five hit singles, including 鈥業 Will Be with You鈥�, 鈥楽ex Talk鈥�, and 鈥榁alentine鈥�.
Carol has also developed a name for herself on stage and screen, and has appeared on television shows including Hit Me, Baby, One More Time, Trigger Happy TV, and Just the Two of Us. She's also trod the boards in London in the play Mum鈥檚 the Word, and recently Carol was a guest star in the touring production of 'Now That's What I Call A Musical'.
Back in May, Carol was a guest with Vernon in the Radio 2 Piano Room, performing the classics 'China In Your Hand' and 'Heart & Soul' alongside a cover of Teddy Swims' 'Lose Control'.
Plus the mid-morning music quiz Ten To The Top, a trip in to the 蜜芽传媒 Archive with Vernon's Vault, and the Record and Album Of The Week.
