Gary Davies sits in, and Carol Decker from T'Pau chooses her final two songs in Tracks Of My Years. Plus more music history in De Ja Woo.

Gary Davies sits in, and Carol Decker from T'Pau chooses her final Tracks Of My Years all this week.

Carol formed T’Pau with guitarist and fellow songwriter Ron Rogers in 1986. Originally named Talking America, the band later changed their name to T’Pau - after a Vulcan elder in the sci-fi series Star Trek. Success came early to the band with the single ‘Heart and Soul’ in 1987, helped by its inclusion in a jeans commercial.

Their follow up single, ‘China in Your Hand’, was a huge success in the UK, spending a total of five weeks at number one on the singles charts. Debut album 'Bridge of Spies' went quadruple platinum and featured a total of five hit singles, including ‘I Will Be with You’, ‘Sex Talk’, and ‘Valentine’.

Carol has also developed a name for herself on stage and screen, and has appeared on television shows including Hit Me, Baby, One More Time, Trigger Happy TV, and Just the Two of Us. She's also trod the boards in London in the play Mum’s the Word, and recently Carol was a guest star in the touring production of 'Now That's What I Call A Musical'.

Back in May, Carol was a guest with Vernon in the Radio 2 Piano Room, performing the classics 'China In Your Hand' and 'Heart & Soul' alongside a cover of Teddy Swims' 'Lose Control'.

Plus the mid-morning music quiz Ten To The Top, more music history in De Ja Woo, and the Record and Album Of The Week.
