This Is Spinal Tap is regularly voted as one of the greatest comedy films of all time in critic and audience polls, and in Spinal Tap II – The End Continues, the ageing rock gods are required to return to the stage one more time because of an old contractual obligation.

Presented by Shaun Keaveny, in-character, the main cast of Christopher Guest, Harry Shearer, Michael McKean and Rob Reiner take us though the perils of growing old in a modern music business and reveal some of their hair-brained schemes to find contentment away from the band.

We have a romp through famous scenes from the original movie and from the sequel as Nigel Tufnel, David St Hubbins, and Derek Smalls frankly express their opinions of guest musicians Sir Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney featured in the new film. Jarvis Cocker, Sting, Johnny Marr and others express their admiration for the band and their influence.

British cast members Chris Addison, Nina Conti and Kerry Godliman give voice to their Tap experience making the sequel.

Exclusively for Radio 2, each Spinal Tap member reveals the music from across three centuries that has inspired or comforted them, both as children and in the topsy turvy world of Rock ‘n' Roll.
