The long, hot days of summer may now feel like a distant memory, but their effects are still being felt across Wales. With record-breaking temperatures and the driest spring in more than fifty years, the summer of 2025 left behind more than just sun-kissed fields. Wildfires broke out across the country, putting communities and firefighters to the test. Megan Williams investigates how rural Wales coped with the heat and what it tells us about a changing climate.
