Rory Bremner, Night Waking at An Tobar and Mull theatre, and The Pieces of Us with author Claire Alexander.
An Tobar and Mull artistic director Rebecca Atkinson-Lord and writer Shirleen Mula discuss new play Night Waking, and author Claire Alexander talks about her novel The Pieces of Us
Rory Bremner talks about his show Making an Impression coming to Aberdeen Comedy Festival, in which he performs mimickry and stand-up comedy and holds candid conversation with guest host Fred MacAulay. He also reflects on his career of more than four decades.
Rory also contributes his views on the impact of heritage and ancestry on parenthood, as Len discusses another touring show, this time a play, from Rebecca Atkinson-Lord, the artistic director and chief executive of An Tobar and Mull, and writer Shirleen Mula.
They have adapted Sarah Moss’s Night Waking for the stage, so they’re going to tell us all about that, and since this production explores motherhood, colonialism and inherited legacies, we’ve also invited writer and author Claire Alexander to join the conversation, whose novel The Pieces of Us also looks at motherhood and the impact of heritage on individuals and families.
