Stravinsky's Firebird Suite
The Ulster Orchestra launches its new season with a concert including music by Borodin, Saint-Sa毛ns, Faur茅 and Stravinsky, with cellist Laura van der Heijden.
The fanfares of Borodin鈥檚 Overture to Prince Igor herald the start of the Ulster Orchestra鈥檚 new season and a programme that鈥檚 packed with classic tales. Laura van der Heijden joins the orchestra for Saint-Sa毛ns鈥檚 popular Cello Concerto No. 1, with Faur茅鈥檚 Pell茅as et M茅lisande Suite paving the way for Stravinsky鈥檚 technicolored Firebird Suite (1945).
