The Divine Comedy
Session tracks and an interview with The Divine Comedy’s Neil Hannon.
The new Divine Comedy album “Rainy Sunday Afternoon” is another sparkling example of the band’s signature chamber pop grandeur. Fresh from Neil Hannon’s soundtrack work on “Wonka”, the new album feels slightly more personal this time with songs about family and childhood. On this week’s show, Stephen shares session tracks by The Divine Comedy, specially recorded for the Quay Sessions by ѿý Radio Scotland and he chats to Neil about the album, the Wonka soundtrack, vintage synthesisers and bespoke monogrammed handkerchiefs.
