The new Divine Comedy album 鈥淩ainy Sunday Afternoon鈥� is another sparkling example of the band鈥檚 signature chamber pop grandeur. Fresh from Neil Hannon鈥檚 soundtrack work on 鈥淲onka鈥�, the new album feels slightly more personal this time with songs about family and childhood. On this week鈥檚 show, Stephen shares session tracks by The Divine Comedy, specially recorded for the Quay Sessions by 蜜芽传媒 Radio Scotland and he chats to Neil about the album, the Wonka soundtrack, vintage synthesisers and bespoke monogrammed handkerchiefs.
