From Sunday, British Travellers to the EU will be subject to new biometric checks, including fingerprint scanning and photographs.

From Sunday, British travellers to the European Union will be subject to new biometric checks. As well as showing a passport, travellers will also need to scan their fingerprint and have their photo taken. The EU is introducing this to help identify suspected criminals, combat identity fraud and to police the 90 day stay restrictions that apply to British and other nationalities. However, there are concerns over how much this extra red tape will cause delays at airports, seaports and international rail stations.

Many of you will have received phishing texts from criminals pretending to be the government, but what happens if you are a victim of this tactic? Our reporter Shari Vahl follows a fake text purporting to help people claim winter fuel payments.

RTS meters monitor electricity and hot water usage for 189,000 homes in the UK. These meters are linked to long wave radio signals but are being phased out when the long wave radio signal is turned off. As the deadline approaches, customers are reporting difficulties making the switch.
