To mark the release of his last book about Lyra Silvertongue, the author speaks to Katie Razzall at the Oxford college where he studied and in his home. They talk about inspiration and imagination, his fears about rising authoritarianism in the US and his views on freedom of speech restrictions in the UK. Plus we hear what he wants his legacy to be.
