Peace and Reconciliation: St Aidan as Peacemaker

Revd Dr Sarah Hills, Vicar of Holy Island, reflects on St Aidan as peacemaker and reconciler.

A service led by Rev Sarah Hills, Vicar of Holy Island. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is the ancient seat of northern Christianity in England. St Aidan was sent to England as a peacemaker in 635AD by Irish monks based in Scotland. What does he have to say to us today as we try to model peace and reconciliation within our islands of the UK and Ireland; and between the nations of Europe and beyond?
