Peace and Reconciliation: Coventry Cathedral

Rev Kate Massey, Canon for Arts and Reconciliation at Coventry Cathedral, reflects on what Coventry’s ministry of reconciliation means in today’s world.

85 years ago this month, Coventry Cathedral was destroyed in a concentrated Luftwaffe bombing campaign which devastated the city and killed about 600 hundred people in just eleven hours. Today Coventry city stands for peace and reconciliation, and the Cathedral is at the heart of a community of peace-builders who span the globe. Rev Kate Massey, Canon for Arts and Reconciliation at Coventry Cathedral, reflects on what Coventry’s ministry of reconciliation means in today’s world.
