A group of high-ranking officers believe Germany is losing the Second World War.
They plan to assassinate Adolf Hitler in order to negotiate peace with the Allies.
Set in Paris and Normandy, the conspirators in France might have reached agreement - even after the ringleaders in Berlin had been shot or arrested.
The first two acts take place in the afternoon and evening of Thursday, July 20th 1944, and the last act three days later.
