Mozart's Serenade No. 9 in D and music from Freiburg Baroque Orchestra
Exclusive music-making including Mozart's Serenade No. 9 in D from Switzerland and highlights from this years' Bath Mozartfest
Fiona Talkington brings you an afternoon of exclusive music-making including a spotlight on compositions by Mozart, performances from Freiburg Baroque Orchestra and we will hear the Nash Ensemble at this years' Bath Mozartfest.
Throughout the week, Classical Live is featuring specially recorded performances of music by Mozart. Today, his joyful and elegant Serenade No. 9 in D is performed by the Basel Chamber Orchestra and conductor Giovanni Antonini.
Staying within the Mozartian theme, we will hear the Nash Ensemble perform Mozart's Piano Trio in G major at this years' Bath Mozartfest.
Plus, there is a spotlight on Freiburg Baroque Orchestra who aim to enliven the world of Baroque music with new sounds. Today they play Bach's Overture No. 1 C Major with violinist and director Gottfried von der Goltz and Jan Dismas Zelenka's Hipocondrie à 7 Concertanti, with violinist and director Hannah Visser.
