                        Episode 2 of 8

Bill Oddie visits Tyneside where he encounters kittiwakes, red squirrels, northern marsh orchids, otters and Atlantic salmon.
Bill visits the land of the Geordies and Newcastle Brown, to find some surprising wildlife, including red squirrels in a local park, otters in an urban nature reserve, and even kittiwakes, an ocean-going seabird, nesting on the Tyne Bridge. Up the River Tyne itself he goes searching for a fish that has now returned to this once polluted river, the Atlantic Salmon.
