This may look like a pussy cat, but it’s actually a lynx and is nearly four times bigger than a domestic cat!

They live in cold northern climates and have special adaptations for the snow. Thick fur helps them keep warm, they have a short tail and their paws are enormous – nearly as big as a human hand! They act as snowshoes - and are pretty useful for digging too!
