The Walrus
Walruses spend most of their time living in the cold waters of the arctic ocean, and despite their size are very good swimmers. But every summer they come together in big herds and spend time ashore on rocky outcrops and beaches.
Their huge tusks are actually canine teeth and can reach one metre long. Their main use is for fighting, defence and displaying and also to help them climb up onto ice flows!
