Monkey muggers
Tibetan macaques are the largest type of macaque and some live near the temples on Mount Emei in China and have found a completely new way of making a living. The monkeys wait for tourists and pilgrims to arrive and then harass them to get food. The people pose for pictures with the monkeys, paying them with nuts and peas, but as the monkeys lose their fear of humans they can turn nasty. A 20 kilo macaque can do a lot of damage and when they gang up they can cause people to panic. Every year many people are bitten and some even fall off the cliffs.
