Acid rain and its effects on the surrounding environment
A discussion about the burning of coal and other fossil fuels and how this can cause acid rain. When acid rain falls into water bodies such as lakes it can cause them to become acidic. This is harmful to fish and other aquatic animals.
At Loch Fleet in Scotland, attempts have been made to reduce the acidity of the water using limestone powder.
