Ghoncheh Ghavami is an Iranian-British woman who has been imprisoned without charge in Iran since June following her attempt to enter a stadium to watch an international volleyball match. Women are banned from watching live sport in Iran if men have been admitted. We hear her brother Iman Ghavami plea for her release.

This was first broadcast in September 2014 and also as part of Sportshour's review of the year in December. In November Ghoncheh Ghavami was freed on bail, her family said because of health problems.
