The BFI are having a vote-off for the nation's favourite Sci-Fi character.
The favourites are the character of Ripley from the ALIEN series of films and Dr Who.
BFI Sci-Fi season curator Laura Adams told Today's Sarah Montague: "We've had over 6500 votes."
People have voted for "quite a few good old standard heroes, but some baddies as well."
She said "Sci-Fi is quite female focused ...it's looking to the future and we hope the future is more equal."
"We'll announce the final winner next Wednesday."
