The leader of the SNP and Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said the SNP will seek to build 鈥減rogressive alliances鈥� on a number of issues.

"You can get lots of things done as an opposition party using your influence cleverly and tactically," she said.

She voiced the hope that scrapping Britain鈥檚 nuclear weapons programme Trident is something that could find support from Labour backbenchers:
