Double standards on nuclear subsidies?
Energy and Climate secretary Amber Rudd has denied the government has double standards on solar versus nuclear subsidies.
While the government was not ruling out further subsidies for the solar industry, Ms Rudd said it was introducing measures to limit them.
And while "solar has been a Great British success story", the East Sussex MP said she wanted to ensure bills are kept down.
But in a seeming contradiction, Ms Rudd told the Today programme the Hinkley Point nuclear deal was going to be “more expensive” than solar.
Asked if the idea of Conservative "greenness" was fraudulent, she said: "Absolutely not."
