Doping is 'rampant' in athletics in Kenya
Russia and Kenya are among those countries singled out for mention with regards to alleged doping in athletics. One third of medals in endurance events at the Olympics and World Championships between 2001 and 2012 were won by athletes who recorded suspicious tests, according to secret data obtained from the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). Russia accounted for 415 abnormal tests, followed by Ukraine, Morocco, Spain, Kenya, Turkey and others. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s John Nene from Nairobi and Pavel Bandakov from the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Russian service join the programme. Mr Nene tells us he's not surprised by the doping allegations involving Kenyan athletes.
