
Air-con 'is sexist' - find scientists
A new study published in the journal Nature has found that climate control systems in offices are designed for the metabolic rate and body temperature of a 40-year-old man - leaving women co-workers chilly.
This applies to Today presenters John Humphrys and Sarah Montague, who each morning have a routine where John goes into the studio and turns the thermostat down and then Sarah goes over and turns it back up.
The study's lead researcher, Boris Kingma, a biophysicist at Maastricht University in the Netherlands, explained why.
