George Foreman on Thrilla in Manila: 'The most brutal boxing match ever'
It's 40 years since Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier stepped into the ring for the 鈥渕ost brutal boxing match that had ever taken place.鈥�
That鈥檚 according to former boxer George Foreman who had just been beaten by Ali in the 鈥楻umble in the Jungle鈥�. Ali postponed his retirement for the showdown with Joe Frazier in the Philippines.
George Foreman told 5 live: 鈥淚t was round after round after round鈥razier would win, Muhammad would win, nobody knew where that fight was going.鈥�
Though he joked he 鈥楧isliked them both equally鈥� because of rivalry in the ring, he described Ali as one of the greatest and kindest man he鈥檇 ever known.
