Peter Bouckaert of Human Rights Watch describes recieving a phone call from a young Syrian man on a sinking boat off Greek island of Samos. "It was a situation of absolute terror for these people in the middle of the dark, in a brutal storm unable to reach safety as their engine had broken down".

UPDATE: Sinking boat arrived safely without rescue, all aboard survived their ordeal.
