Former Formula 1 world champion Nigel Mansell believes Lewis Hamilton can match Michael Schumacher鈥檚 record seven world championship titles.

Speaking on the Today programme Mr Mansell says Hamilton, who won his third championship by winning the United States grand prix, will 鈥渏ust get better and better鈥� and is 鈥渉ot favourite鈥� for next year.

On comparisons with Aytron Senna Mansell added: 鈥淚n the years to come he certainly will be [as good] and he鈥檒l surpass him.鈥�

鈥淚 would have seven times world champion Michael Schumacher鈥檚 record in my sights now.鈥�
