Tensions rise in Turkey's Kurdish towns
A curfew is in place in Turkey's Kurdish south-eastern towns of Cizre and Silopi, following clashes between protesters and police in the provincial capital, Diyarbakir. The situation has been very tense in the area since the collapse of a ceasefire between the government and the Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) in June. A resident of Cizre described a climate of fear.
