Should Trump be banned from the UK?
Green Party leader Natalie Bennett and UKIP MEP David Coburn discussed calls to ban Donald Trump from the UK ahead of a Westminster debate on the subject.
Ms Bennett said about 200 people had been banned because their presence would not be conducive to the public good, and it was “reasonable” for Mr Trump to be added to the list. If he were ever to become president he would have to “row back” on the comments, she said.
Mr Coburn said Mr Trump’s comments were “ridiculous” but said he should be “defeated in the public arena”. He said the prospect of him winning the US election was “terrifying” but added that “he may become president so we can’t just ignore him”.
