Bradshaw rues faulty opinion polls
Andrew Hawkins, of polling company ComRes, and Labour MP Ben Bradshaw joined Jo Coburn on The Daily Politics to discuss a review by Prof Patrick Sturgis into the failure of pre-general election polls.
Mr Hawkins said there were “clearly sampling issues” that affected the accuracy of the polls and said the
report’s findings would affect some companies more than others.
Mr Bradshaw said the polls “massively affected” Labour’s campaign strategy.
He said Labour had tried to “get the debate back to policy” but the campaign was “dominated” by speculation about a hung Parliament.
